Pocono Mountains Top 10 Things to Do

  1. SKIING AND SNOW TUBING Jack Frost and Big Boulder are two popular ski resorts near the Lake Harmony area. Jack Frost has 20 trails and 12 lifts, while Big Boulder has 15 trails and 10 lifts. Big Boulder is a short, five-minute drive from Deer View Lodge. All equipment can be rented at the ski resort. Take advantage of the free lessons if needed.
  2. SHOPPING The Crossings Premium Outlets in Tannersville feature 100 brand name and designer stores. Added bonus: there’s no sales tax on clothing in Pennsylvania!
  3. RESTAURANTS The high concentration of delicious restaurants in the Lake Harmony area is truly amazing! Some of our favorites include Piggy’s Restaurant (breakfast), Terra-Cottage (breakfast or lunch), Chat-n-Chew Café (breakfast or lunch), Shenanigans (dinner), Louie’s Prime (dinner), Boulder View Tavern (lunch or dinner), and China Pearl (lunch or dinner).
  4. SPLIT ROCK RESORT This family-friendly resort has many onsite amenities including an indoor water park, bowling alley, arcade, movie theater, restaurants, and spa.
  5. BUSHKILL FALLS Known as “The Niagara of Pennsylvania,” Bushkill Falls encompasses about 300 acres of beauty and nature, including eight waterfalls and more than two miles of hiking trails.
  6. MOUNT AIRY CASINO Try your luck at over 1800 slots or 70+ tables. Indulge in cuisine ranging from American to Asian, and everything in between. There are also concerts, comedy shows, a nightclub, and an ultra pool—this destination has entertainment for all.
  7. BIKING Check out Pocono Biking to explore the Lehigh Gorge and experience the beauty of the Poconos up close. The Upper Gorge Trail (10 miles, 2-3 hours) is a pleasant, less strenuous ride. If you’re training for the Tour de France—take the Full Monty Trail (36 miles, 5-6 hours).
  8. ATVs Grab a helmet, jump on an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) and ride through 200 beautiful wooded acres at Pocono ATVs in Memorytown. It may be muddy, so wear old shoes and pants or purchase plastic shoe/leg covers at the facility.
  9. PAINTBALL Skirmish Paintball accommodates all skill levels. This premier paintball facility has more than 50 playing fields spanning 700+ acres.
